Portable systems for geo-referenced in-situ measurements may be assembled from separate components:

Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS, i.e., GPS, GLONASS, etc.) receiver/antenna
Radiation meter with digital output
Mobile computer
Data collection software / firmware
Geographic information system (GIS) software

Several instruments are now available that integrate some of these components into one device
